Tony has been involved with dogs all of his life. His family owned Labradors, GSD’s, Pekingese and Shih Tzu. He has awarded BIS (All breeds) at UK Open Shows 36 times and approved to award CC’s in 25 breeds including Championship Show Group level. His famous ‘Sleepyhollow’ kennel has bred some of the finest Japanese Chins in the World, taking Best of Breed 6 times at Crufts. In addition, he has bred and owned, Champion King Charles Spaniels, Chihuahuas (L/C & S/C), Norfolk Terriers and exhibited Whippets, English Toy Terriers, Italian Greyhounds, Pekingese, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Pointers. Tony has bred the UK Top Toy Dog on two occasions and in 2018, by public vote, he was voted ‘UK Breeder of the Year’. He is currently the Chairman of the UK Kennel Club. Tony has judged Internationally on many occasions and is the 2025 Crufts Toy Group Judge.
