Scott has been involved in the sport of purebred dogs since the age of 14. He was initially involved with Bernese Mountain Dogs and Newfoundlands,but fell in love with the Afghan Hound at the age of 16 when he saw Harry Bennett showing a class dog named Toki. He knew from that moment that he had to have an Afghan. The first notable Afghan he showed was multi group winning SBIS CH Sabra Candasia. Scott piloted Nikki to numerous breed and group wins. He has also successfully shown Whippets, Flat-Coated Retrievers, Salukis, and Havanese. In 2004 Scott became an AKC conformation judge, and is currently approved for the hound group as well as several toy and working breeds. He has had many prestigious judging assignments in the Unites States, Europe, and Australia. Scott is a principal/co-owner of the International Kennel Club of Chicago and is currently President of the Afghan Hound Club of America.
